How to choose the framework of high frequency transformer of switching power supply?

At present, most manufacturers of switching power transformers have some scruples when choosing high-frequency transformer skeleton, because they don't know what can be used as a reference. Let's take a look at the following points to summarize for your reference:

1. Select the same size framework according to the core size required by the power of high frequency transformer

2. Select the number of pins of the skeleton according to the number of transformer windings

3. Select the vertical or horizontal framework according to the position, size and height of the transformer placed on the circuit board

4. Select the skeleton material according to the temperature resistance: bakelite, LCP, etc

5. Choose the straight foot skeleton or chip skeleton according to the circuit board design
